After losing the lead in the top of the ninth, the Riders fought for a run in the bottom and pushed another across in the tenth to clinch a piece of the 2019 Suburban League American Title. Zac Common earned the victory in relief to move to (6-0) on the season. Freshman Nolan Lane beat out his first career hit in the tenth and moved to second on a throwing error before Spenser Townend’s sacrifice bunt moved him to third. Freshman Nate Fletcher pinch ran for Lane and scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Common, Slippy and Dabrowski all had multi-hit games for the Riders. Eight Roosevelt hitters drove in runs in the victory.
