In spite of a solid performance from Kayla Fischer with 19 points, Roosevelt fell to Copley 74-52. Copley clinched their lead in the third quarter on a three-pointer from Emma Brown. Roosevelt Rough Riders Varsity led at the half 37-34, with a 26-point second quarter on the strength of a 14-0 run. But this wasn’t enough to overcome Copley’s 40 points in the final two quarters of the game. Fischer paved the way for Roosevelt, making 50% (7-for-14) of shots attempted while also sinking 45% (5-for-11) of free throws attempted. Also contributing for Roosevelt were Jazmine Moxley (8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks), Lexie Horner (7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block), Jacy Kupfer (6 points, 2 rebounds), Sarah Bush (4 points, 2 rebounds), Gracie Wyckoff (4 points, 5 rebounds), Katie Kulis (2 points, 2 rebounds), and Kassidy Fischer (2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals). Roosevelt finished the game with 27 rebounds (9 offensive / 18 defensive), three blocks and nine steals. “Powered by Narrative Science and GameChanger Media. Copyright 2018.
