In spite of a solid performance from Kayla Fischer with 19 points, Roosevelt fell to Aurora 60-49. Aurora grabbed the lead against Roosevelt Rough Riders Varsity on a two-pointer from Shayla Sellers in the second period and held on.
Roosevelt played aggressively throughout, accumulating 21 fouls over the course of the game.
Fischer led the charge for Roosevelt’s offense, scoring 19 points, with seven points during the second period. She also contributed 10 rebounds and two steals.
Jazmine Moxley achieved double digits, scoring 16 points for Roosevelt (6-for-9). Lexie Horner (8 points) and Sarah Bush (6 points) each had multiple three-pointers. Kassidy Fischer was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up five rebounds, one steal and four blocks.
Roosevelt finished the game with 39 rebounds (11 offensive / 28 defensive), seven blocks and three steals.
