The RoughRiders started out slow Monday night. Down by 7pts at the end of the first quarter, they rallied in the second quarter to go ahead 24-23 at halftime. The RoughRiders who usually have their third quarter woes, came out on fire behind Andrew Sawyer and Preston Caicco’s two way play. Blake Green and Elliott Adams put on an attacking guard display which ramped the RoughRiders lead to 11pts at the end of the third quarter. Revere cut into the lead with two minute remaining in the game. Score was 45-44 until Connor McLaughlin hit a baseline 3 pointer to put the RoughRiders up 48-44. From there the young RoughRiders closed the game on a 8-2 surge that was energized by the players on the bench. Coach Moxley feels “that brotherhood and togetherness is infectious”. “That heart and grit is what our identity should be and will be”. “Just a great team Win!
