On a night riddled with injuries and line up changes our Rough Rider Varsity team gave the Hoban Knights all they could handle. The first set went to the Knights 18-25 as well as the second 22-25. In the third set Kent took control of the match and held on for a 25-23 win but also lost Junior Nathan Montanari and Josh Hido to injury. Injuries didn’t stop the Riders in the fourth set as they climbed back from a 9-12 deficit to take an 18-14 lead. However, they were unable to hold on and finally lost in extra points 24-26. The lost is the first for Kent on the season and puts them at 4-1.
The JV team did a wonderful job taking care of the Knights 2-1 in the opening game. The win puts the JV team at 2-1 on the season.
