The Roosevelt Boys Varsity Basketball team got their second win of the season last night in a hard-fought battle to the end. Zac Common led the team with 13 points and also provided the game-winning shot with three seconds remaining in the contest. Jeremiah Jones was a clutch performer draining 9 of his 13 points in the fourth period including a key 3-pointer. Tyler McKown added 9 points and had 2 blocked shots which shifted the momentum of the game. McKown’s second block was at a critical moment in the fourth period as he defended Braden Tucker driving to the basket. Tucker had 25 points and kept Streetsboro in the game to the very end with a last-second missed three-pointer to end the game.
Roosevelt will visit Hudson next Tuesday. Jv will play at 6 pm followed by the Varsity at 7:30.
