After falling behind 4-0 after three innings the Riders staged a strong come back that started with Matt Dile’s 2-run Double in the bottom of the fourth. Nathan Renkes came on in relief for starting pitcher Zane Cramer and held Shawnee scoreless the rest of the way. In the bottom of the sixth the Riders strung together 5 straight hits with Garrett Slippy tying the game on a pinch hit single and Kent Gordon pushing the go ahead run across on his own Pinch Hit Sac Fly. Renkes would then add an insurance run on his RBI single before he closed the door on Shawnee on the mound earning his first victory as a Rough Rider. Riley Day and Matt Dile finished with 2 hits apiece on the afternoon. The Boys move to (2-0) on the season and will travel to Warren Harding on Friday after returning back to Kent from Dayton.
