Annual Training Schedule
A three phase training schedule will be implemented to train our student athletes. Phase #1 (Mid July – Mid October), Phase #2 (Mid October – Spring Break Week), and Phase #3 (Late March – Mid July).
A consistent training routine will be implemented in the strength and conditioning program for three reasons: First, we need to maximize the effectiveness/strength and explosiveness of our “core lifts” that are vital for all of our student athletes’ development, and incorporate a consistent “core lift” testing schedule to evaluate each student athlete’s development. Additional lifts/movements are incorporated into each workout to help develop the entire student athlete. Secondly, we want to create a training program that maximizes all that is offered in our state of the art training facility.
Our training facility was designed to incorporate current strength training and conditioning movements that are beneficial and age appropriate to our student athletes. Our training facility can hold a large number of our student athletes at once, and the amount of activity that can take place at one time is quite impressive.
Finally, we are moving towards the “30 Sports, 1 Team” mentality here at TRHS in the athletic department. A way to accomplish this philosophical overhaul is to have our athlete’s train together, and begin to foster relationships that will benefit our student athletes and our athletic program.
During each school year, a consistent strength training schedule will be instituted and followed by our student athletes. During the days between the first day of school each year, and the final day of school, the students will lift in one of three allotted times;
Training Session A: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Training Session B: 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Training Session C: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Annual Test Cycle Schedule
The TRHS Athletics testing cycle was created to evaluate specific fitness gains from our student athletes during the implementation of our yearlong strength and conditioning program. A test cycle that includes three testing periods per calendar year will be used to evaluate each of our student athletes and the effectiveness of our strength-training program, and the work each student athlete puts into their physical improvement.
Test #1: (2nd week in October of each year)
Test #2: (3rd week in March of each year)
Test #3: (2nd week in July of each year)
