Riders lose league opener to defending champs, Highland Hornets 148-168 at home. The par 35 front nine at Windmill Lakes Golf Club played host to the league’s dual match in wet and windy conditions.
Highland’s 8 over par score of 148 was led by Ross Schlerler’s 2 under par 33. Cooper Phelps added a 37, while David Laid and Cameron Jean both shot 39s. Other scores for the Hornets were: Carson Wirebaugh 40 and Cooper Hrabak 41. Highland is (3-0)(1-0)
The Riders were led by Griffen Wise and Casey Troyer’s 40’s, followed by 44’s from Carter Troyer and Marek Seaholts. Kyle Smith shot 46, while Matt Dile carded a 47. The Riders are (1-1)(0-1).
The Riders return to action on Saturday at the University School Invitational being hosted by Windmill Lakes.
