The Roosevelt varsity boys basketball team fought hard to the final seconds Friday night, but fell to Revere, 45-41. Tyler McKown brought the Rough Riders to within one point with 3 seconds left in the contest. Pete Nance slammed a full-court inbound’s pass and was fouled to seal the game for Revere. Roosevelt’s defense continued to improve and kept them in the game until the end holding Nance to just 12 points, well under his season average.
The Rough Riders were led in scoring by Jordan Barnes with 18 and Tyler McKown with 9 points. Zach Common contributed 7 and Hayden Kegg added 5 points. Revere was led in scoring by senior, Kyle Tretter with 14.
The Rough Riders will visit Streetsboro Tuesday night.
