W – Dean Gray(3-3) L – Tyler Hays(3-1)

In a matchup of two extremely good arms, Dean Gray pitched his best game of the season holding the defending Suburban League Champs to 3 hits while striking out 5 in route to the complete game victory. The Riders scored early on Tyler Hays, giving him his first loss of the year, as they added one run in the second on the hard throwing righty. Dean Gray walked, stole second, and scored from second on a Matt Dile groundout. In the Fourth, Gray was at it again with an RBI Double that scored Phil Kaderle. he would then score on Freshman Spencer Townend’s 2-rbi single. The Riders would add two more insurance runs in the sixth when Freshman Zac Common knocked in a pair to push the lead to five. That was enough for Gray as he set the visiting Indians down in order in the seventh.
